2007 Activities
South Dakota
We stopped at the Badlands on the way out, although since it was 110+ degrees, we didn't stay long.
What amazing views!
One of the great sites to see!
Nothing like horseback riding through the mountains!!!
The wildlife were everywhere... so much that Jacob fit right in!
This was one of several "bear stories" that I shared with the kids. We were looking for sleeping bears, so I sent the kids to check out the "bear's den" that we found. The kids were so into it, that Jacob insisted on taking his weapon with (a small branch barely visible in his left hand) in case he actually saw one.
Hawaii
We went scuba diving several times as well. However, this was our least favorite location for scuba. The waters were rough, and the islands are relatively young, so the coral is not as magnificant as in the Carribean. The rest of the time was pretty much just laying on the beach and enjoying our time together.
It was impossible to take for granted the beauty that God gives us.
One of the many "photo ops".
The panoromic view from on top of Diamond Head was incredible,
although the hundreds of stairs was a challenge...
but well worth it!
A view of the North Shore from atop of a volcano.

Welcome!
We will post all our pictures and descriptions about recent events with our family here.... and you can add your comments!
We have been blessed with many wonderful trips. Rhonda and I went to Hawaii for our 10-year anniversary. We spent a week in Oahu. And no, the sunset photo wasn't scanned in from a postcard, but was a picture we took from our hotel room. What a view!
This summer we took the kids with three other families to South Dakota. We had a fun filled week with our friends. The sites were incredible, and seeing Mt Rushmore was one of Sara's favorite memories from the trip.
And then we had a trip to New York for a reunion with Rhonda's extended family. We caught a show, saw the Statue of Liberty, and had an enjoyable dinner with Rhonda's relatives.
And now, in mid-October, Rhonda is joining me on a trip to London.
~A Special Thank You to our parents for watching the kids which allow us to take these trips~
